One of the reasons you probably love your boat is the feeling of luxury and quality you get when inside. We have now introduced a range of specialised protective coatings and restorers for all the interior leather, vinyl and fabric materials in your boat.
Permagard's "Luxury Interior" protective system is again based on sophisticated co-polymer treatments which will help prevent premature wear and ageing of your leather and fabrics without affecting their natural feel, look and smell.
Permagard's fabric protection range is a specially formulated invisible treatment to leathers, fabric, carpet and velour surfaces, which provides a flexible barrier, preventing stains from food, drink and soiling from everyday use.
Permagard's Interior Protection formulas adhere to every fibre of the materials used for upholstery and carpets, protecting against oil & water-based spills. Liquid simply 'beads up' on the surface of your upholstery making it simple to wipe away without leaving stains or dulling fabrics.
Permagard's interior range also reduces wear on fabrics and carpets by eliminating friction from trapped dirt particles between fibres. The co-polymer treatments do not leave sticky product residues which quickly accumulate dust and grime.
The "Luxury Interior" range has been designed to protect synthetic fabrics including nylon, polyester, acrylic and their blends with natural cellulose fibres.
Permagard's leather products have been developed knowing precautionary measures should be taken whenever cleaning raw leather. Too strong a cleaner can actually strip and remove leather dyes. More sensitive leathers such as the European variety, particularly found with beige leathers will always be pre-treated with a mild non alkaline Permagard cleaner before conditioning, leaving in its natural lubricancy and sheen.
Many of today's transport leather interiors, although they may be sold as high grade leather, are in fact plastic coated leather. The underlying leather is treated with a product called "polyvinylchloride plastic" or vinyl. These treated vinyl leathers are protected by a clear layer of vinyl, much the same way a clear coat finish protects the paint of a car.
The advantage to this type of treated leather is that it is generally impervious to moisture. However, since no moisture can penetrate the vinyl coating the use of a leather conditioner serves no purpose since it cannot penetrate the leather. The advantages are that this type of leather proves to be maintenance free because of its vinyl coating. To treat this type of leather, Permagard uses a high quality vinyl muti-purpose cleaner to removed embedded pollutants leaving the viynl coating completely revitalised.
